Dog Behaviorist In-Home consults

Problem behavior in dogs often arises from an emotional response to a stimulus. This can be caused, for example, by fear or insecurity, frustration, or, on the contrary, excessive enthusiasm.

The consult

During a 2-hour in-home consultation, I teach you how to guide your dog in developing a new response. This changes the behavior from the inside out. It improves the relationship with your dog, reduces stress for both the dog and the owner, and leads to lasting results. You can then start working with your dog step by step toward your goals. People are often amazed at how quickly results become visible. Within just a few weeks, you’ll have a completely different dog!

The training I provide is always tailor-made and therefore varies from dog to dog. However, I always work from a place of love, respect, and mutual understanding. I look at behavior from the dog’s perspective. The behavior itself is often just the tip of the iceberg, which is why we always look beyond the behavior alone. Are the dog’s daily needs being met? What are the underlying emotions? What is the relationship like between the dog and their humans?

Training method

From there, we get to work. We almost always go for a walk outside, as this often reveals the dog’s habits very clearly. I show you what your dog needs and how you can provide it. For example, an insecure dog may need more guidance and leadership they can trust, while a high-energy “bouncing ball” may need more calm and structured movement.

We teach the dog all new behavior in a language they understand: their own. Dogs don’t use sentences or grammar. The fewer words we use, the better. Dogs cannot lie. They are honest, clear, and sincere. By immersing yourself in your dog’s world of experience, you will truly begin to understand them and be able to help them in the best possible way.
